Nicaragua opens embassy in Vietnam, with the delivery of credentials to the president of Vietnam

The president of Vietnam received credential letters from Nicaragua, which accredit the Nicaraguan ambassador as diplomatic representative to the Asian country.

«His Excellency Mr. Tô Lâm, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, received the Letters of Credence from the hands of Comrade Mario José Armengol Campos, which accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua in Vietnam,» reported the government of Nicaragua.

Nicaragua and Vietnam strengthen bilateral relations

During the ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi, the Vietnamese president expressed his enthusiasm for the inauguration of the Embassy, ​​highlighting that this step reflects a strong commitment to strengthen bilateral ties between Vietnam and Nicaragua, as well as to increase the presence of Nicaragua in Southeast Asia, the Nicaraguan media highlighted.

In addition, he extended a warm welcome and sent fraternal greetings to the people of Nicaragua, to President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo.

For his part, the Nicaraguan diplomat, Mario Armengol Campos, on behalf of the State of Nicaragua, greeted President Lâm and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

In this sense, he highlighted the interest in promoting technical cooperation and knowledge transfer in agriculture, fishing, tourism, urban infrastructure, defense and security.

Likewise, Armengol expressed that he will work on investment opportunities, trade, academic exchanges between universities and the promotion of Nicaraguan art, culture and traditions.
