China approved the supply of 500 new bus units for Nicaragua, and the donation of more than 2,500 metric tons of urea, as part of the consolidation of strategic cooperation between the two nations and ratified within the Shared Global Development Forum, held in the capital of the Asian giant.
In this context, a large delegation from the Central American country visited Beijing, where it held a meeting with the President of International Development Cooperation (CIDCA), Lou Zhaouhui.
China confirms bus supply to Nicaragua
The senior Chinese official confirmed to the Nicaraguan delegation the approval of two cooperation projects: the supply of 500 Chinese-made buses and the donation of 2,595 metric tons of urea, for the strengthening of production.
The Nicaraguan delegation expressed its gratitude to China for the mutually beneficial and unconditional cooperation, as a sign of the strength of the bilateral relationship.
Nicaraguan Finance Minister Iván Acosta stressed that China has changed the way in which international development cooperation is carried out, «fostering solidarity and creating important opportunities for developing countries».

Nicaragua has been firm in its determination to achieve poverty reduction and human development,» Acosta said, adding that, in this sense, priority has been given to the stability of the economy, generating confidence for Chinese investments.

Both China and Nicaragua confirmed that by the end of July 2023 they will be signing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which incorporates key axes such as trade in goods, border trade in services and financial services.
