Eight people, including children, were attacked in a playground by a knife-wielding Syrian man in the French Alps according to local authorities.
Elisabeth Borne, French Prime Minister said the attacker’s motives are still unknown, and the children attacked were four, aged between 22 months and 3 years, all of them suffered injuries.
The 31-year-old suspect from Syria was immediately arrested and is currently in police custody, according to authorities.

Most of the victims were visiting the tourist resort of Annecy in the French Alps, and one of the children is of British and one of Dutch nationality, the rest of the victims are French.
After the attack, the Syrian refugee tried to flee, but a few minutes later he was arrested by law enforcement officers, who tackled him to the ground without causing significant injuries.
