National Assembly of Nicaragua approves Law for the execution of programs under the “Alliances of Association” model.
The new Law in Nicaragua promotes transparency in the execution of projects by Non-Profit Organizations and Foreign Agents.
The Parliament of Nicaragua unanimously approved a new Law that introduces new reforms for the execution of programs by Non-Profit Organizations and Foreign Agents based on the “Alliances of Association” Operational model.
“At the initiative of the President of the Republic, the National Assembly unanimously approved the Law that contains the reforms and additions necessary for the correct and effective execution of the Programs and Projects developed by Non-Profit Organizations and Foreign Agents, under the New Model of Operation ‘ Association Alliances”, according to a press release issued by the Nicaraguan Legislative Branch.
Organizations must apply for “Association Alliance”
“The new modality strengthens transparency, legal security and the development of projects of interest to our families and communities under the framework of Solidarity, Respect and adherence to National Laws,” the communication added.

According to the National Assembly, “each organization, according to its nature and/or field of action, will request the subscription of an Association Alliance to the Ministry of the Interior or Chancellery of the Republic for the execution of its Programs or Projects that it intends to develop in the Country”.

“With this legal system, Non-Profit Organizations and Foreign Agents join the route that the Sandinista Government leads on the Paths of Prosperity, Social Justice and the Common Good for all Nicaraguans,” it was explained.
