Nicaragua is making progress in the construction of different baseball stadiums in the national territory, which will have international sports standards.
The new baseball stadium, located in León, Western Nicaragua, will be able to host a number of 7,000 spectators and with a future expansion area for about 1000 fans in the right field (on the right side).
The new stadium of León has an investment of more than one billion cordobas.
September Heroes and Martyrs Stadium (old León Baseball Stadium) will continue to be used for youth leagues.
In addition, the new architectural part will contain a fire network system and fire detection system.
It will have a modern structure that will host international events.
Construction began in January 2022 and will be completed in March 2024.
It will also have a four-level building.
In Masaya department a modern Baseball Stadium is being built. It will be named: Roberto Clemente.
This stadium, designed with all the regulations and standard specifications of the Major Leagues, will be able to host 4 thousand passionate fans of Nicaragua’s national sport.
This facility is expected to be fully completed by the end of September this year.
Nicaragua is building different stadiums at the national level to promote sport, which marks an iconic event in the Central American country.
