Ortega delivers fleet of Chinese buses and thanks the Chinese government.
Nicaragua receives 100 buses from the Chinese company Yutong.
The president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega; together with the vice president, Rosario Murillo, delivered a new fleet of buses manufactured by the Chinese company Yutong, with which it completes a total of 1,100 new units aimed at modernizing the country’s public transport.
Are there already 1,100 completely new buses in a record time that tests the will of President Xi Jinping, the government and the people of the People’s Republic of China. The respect and affection they have for the Nicaraguan people, Ortega said.
Also, the Nicaraguan leader pointed out that: 100 buses that arrive from thousands and thousands of kilometers away, but the distance does not separate us, the distance rather unites us, brings us closer, from there they have been transporting these buses.
Now the transport will be direct because a maritime route from China was opened directly to Nicaragua, to unload in Corinto and already came the first boat, which came with the equipment, supplements, for the construction of Panchito Airport (Punta Huete), said the president of Nicaragua.
Similarly, Ortega highlighted the continued cooperation between Managua and Beijing, stressing that not only are more vehicles being received, such as buses and microbuses in Nicaraguan territory, but Nicaragua is already exporting products, especially food, to the Chinese market.
During the event, Santi Zhou Qing, representative of the company Yutong, said: «We are working and moving forward together to deliver other projects that include microbuses and urban buses in departments and tourism by 2024.

Among those attending the official event were: Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Adviser for Investment, Trade and International Cooperation; Fidel Moreno, Secretary General of the Mayor of Managua; Amaru Ramírez, Deputy Minister of Transport.
