Nicaragua is visited by a delegation from China to promote trade relations between the two nations.
China delegation will work in coordination with Nicaragua to promote the export of its products to the Asian giant.
The Director General of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of China, Li Xinqiang, is visiting Nicaragua in the company of a business delegation, to expand Nicaraguan exports.
A trade delegation headed by Brother Comrade Li Xinqiang, director general of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, who has been leading a large delegation of 32 people, 32 brothers and sisters of the People’s Republic of China; eight comrades from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and 24 entrepreneurs who come to work with our country, with our companies, with our comrades, Nicaraguan partners, to promote the export of Nicaraguan products to the market of the People’s Republic of China, said Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Adviser for Investment, Trade and International Cooperation.
In this regard, Ortega Murillo said that the Chinese delegation will work with various institutions of the Nicaraguan government, such as the Central Bank of Nicaragua (BCN), the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and with the Ministry of Investment and Exports.
Nicaragua will export its products to China
China’s official business delegation will focus its work on «…analyze, to review that great potential that exists, to promote exports of Nicaraguan products to China and, to promote Chinese investments in Nicaragua, in order to export food products, products of all kinds to this large market, Ortega Murillo explained.

A Business Forum will also be developed to share experiences between Chinese and Nicaraguan entrepreneurs, to foster trade alliances.

In addition, the use of the Free Trade Agreement signed between Nicaragua and China, which is already in force, will be maximized. Taking advantage of the direct maritime routes available between the two countries and the potential and opportunities for strengthening bilateral trade will be fully exploited.
