The Kilauea volcano in Hawaii, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, erupted, although authorities indicate that it poses no threat to inhabited regions, since its lava is limited to the central crater.
The Hawaii Volcano Observatory detected a glow on webcams coming from the summit of Kilauea, and that is where the eruption began.
Kilauea’s crater, Halema’uma’u, has concentrated volcanic activity at the moment, and risks will be assessed as the eruption progresses, as the US Geological Survey (USGS) has upgraded it to a red alert.

Kilauea is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and is located in Hawaii. It erupted for the last time in January and its activity lasted until March, according to the USGS.
