Nicaragua and Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations between their Ministries of Foreign Affairs, strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation of both nations.

According to a press release issued by the Nicaraguan government, the “Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was signed in its Foreign Ministry.”

In that sense, the agreement between Nicaragua and Saudi Arabia was carried out “with the purpose of strengthening the friendly relations that exist between both Peoples and Governments,” the statement from the Latin American nation said.

In this sense, the deputy foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, Waleed Al-Khuraiji, highlighted his government’s willingness to continue strengthening ties of cooperation and brotherhood between both nations.

Nicaragua reaffirms its commitment to strengthen ties with Saudi Arabia

For its part, the Government of Nicaragua also reiterated its willingness to “continue strengthening the relations of brotherhood, fraternity and cooperation that have united us,” according to the written declaration.

In this context, the Sandinista government thanked “Saudi Arabia’s cooperation in the areas of health, education and food security,” which has developed rapprochement between both States.

During the visit of the Saudi Vice Minister, Waleed Al-Khuraiji, in Nicaraguan territory, he will hold meetings with Authorities of the Nicaraguan Parliament, Central Bank of Nicaragua, Ministry of Finance and Public Credit; and the Ministry of Development, Industry and Commerce.
