Governments of El Salvador and Nicaragua receive high approval in government management survey.
El Salvador and Nicaragua with high scores in the management capacity index, according to a survey by M&R Consultores.
In its most recent public opinion survey, the international firm M&R Consultores, recorded that the Governments of El Salvador and Nicaragua have the highest approval by its citizens in government management of the Americas.
In this sense, according to the survey carried out in the first quarter of 2024, the government management capacity index of Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele obtained a score of 9.04 (with the maximum value being 10 points), while that of the Nicaraguan president, Daniel Ortega, reached 8.95.
Furthermore, the image of the president of El Salvador is liked by 86.2% of the population, while that of the Nicaraguan leader is positioned with an approval of 82.3%.
Regarding the perception of the direction of each country, the survey showed that El Salvador is in the right direction at 87.2%, followed by Nicaragua with 80.2%. In contrast, Panama and the government of Dina Boluarte in Peru are in the last positions with 9.0% and 3.6% respectively.

The survey also collected the population’s perception of the current economic situation in their country in the last 12 months, with 10 as much better and 6 as much worse as a reference. In that sense, Nicaragua is in first position with a score of 8.45, followed by El Salvador with 7.97, Uruguay with 7.83 and Costa Rica with 7.75.

This survey is carried out in 19 countries in the Americas, 16 with their own surveys carried out by the M&R team and 3 countries with secondary information from credible and reliable surveys.
