Representatives of Nicaragua and Saudi Arabia hold a meeting to sign cooperation agreements for the construction and equipment of a hospital.
Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, director of the Saudi development fund, arrived in Nicaragua with the aim of concluding bilateral agreements.
Nicaragua strengthens ties of cooperation with Saudi Arabia, with the arrival in the country of Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, director of the Saudi Fund for Development, who will sign an agreement for the construction and equipment of a hospital in the Northern Caribbean.
Nicaragua and Saudi Arabia will sign a cooperation agreement through a loan from the Middle Eastern country, which stands at $90 million, intended for the construction and equipment of a hospital in the Autonomous Region of the Northern Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua, according to local media.
The signing of the cooperation agreement represents an important step forward in strengthening bilateral relations in the field of cooperation and development.
First cooperation agreement between Nicaragua and Saudi Arabia
“On behalf of our Government, our Comrade President of the Republic Daniel Ortega and our Comrade, Vice President Rosario Murillo, on behalf of our Minister of Finance, Ivan Acosta, we want to officially welcome you to this country that welcomes this delegation that you He presides with great pleasure,” said the Vice Minister of Finance and Public Credit, Bruno Gallardo.
Likewise, the representative of the Nicaraguan government added that it is expected that “the results of this mission will be successful because the conditions have already been built with the delegation that arrived the day before yesterday to resolve the technical and legal problems and we are already prepared to sign our cooperation agreement with the Saudi Development Fund.”

Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad was received by the Vice Minister of Finance and Public Credit of Nicaragua, Bruno Gallardo, who welcomed him, highlighting that the nation is prepared for the signing of the cooperation agreement with the Saudi Fund for the development.

For his part, the Saudi official, Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, thanked the Nicaraguan officials for the welcome.
“I am very pleased to be in Nicaragua, it is our first cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Nicaragua in the construction of this hospital, which costs almost 90 million dollars,” highlighted the Saudi official; adding that the “visit bears good fruit and leads to other projects between both countries.”
