Nicaraguan Government Calls for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza and Supports International Efforts
Nicaragua calls for an immediate end to the violence in Gaza in an official statement.
In an official statement, the Government of Nicaragua demanded the «immediate» cessation of hostilities by Israel in the Gaza Strip and urged for a peace agreement to be reached.
“The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua demands once again an immediate ceasefire in Gaza; and we welcome the efforts and initiatives by countries around the world to achieve a peaceful and lasting solution in Gaza,” the official document stated.
The Nicaraguan government expressed its call for a Peace Agreement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Furthermore, the Latin American nation emphasized that any initiative aimed at resolving the conflict must focus on improving the living conditions of the population in the State of Palestine and the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, Nicaragua highlighted the need to completely end the Israeli occupation in these territories, seeking a comprehensive and lasting solution to the crisis.
“We are in constant solidarity with the families and the heroic people of Palestine, and we repudiate the acts of hatred, barbarism, brutality, genocide, and extermination that the population in Gaza has suffered and continues to suffer,” the Nicaraguan statement concluded.
Nicaragua Condemns Attack on School in Gaza
Previously, Nicaragua condemned the attack by the Israeli military on the Al-Tabi’in school in Gaza, which resulted in dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries, and reiterated its support for the Palestinian people.

In its declaration, the Nicaraguan government stated: “We denounce and continue to take legal action against Israel and its allies, whom we consider fully responsible for these crimes, aberrations, abuses, and violations of Human Rights.”

Additionally, it expressed its condemnation of the “profound lack of respect and the blatant abuse that outrages the entire international community and the human family as a whole.”
