Nicaragua is strengthening bilateral relations with these countries.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, Valdrack Jaentschke, has met, in the context of the 79th UN General Assembly, with different countries of Asia and Africa, in order to strengthen bilateral relations, based on “friendship, solidarity and unity”.
During the meetings, the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister and his counterparts reaffirmed the strengthening of bilateral relations, which are “of brotherhood and common struggle in the defense of our peoples”, the Government of Nicaragua indicated in a press release.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, Valdrack Jaentschke, met with his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
They also emphasized “the willingness to continue working on economic, technical, commercial, cultural and educational cooperation relations”, the press release quoted.
Countries with which Nicaragua held meetings
The Nicaraguan Foreign Minister met with representatives of several countries, including Russia, Palestine, India and Uganda.
These meetings involved Sergey Lavrov, Chancellor of the Russian Federation; Mohammad Mustafa, Prime Minister and Chancellor of Palestine; Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Chancellor of India; and Jeje Odongo, Chancellor of Uganda.

The Nicaraguan foreign minister also met with several diplomatic figures, including Frederick Shava, foreign minister of Zimbabwe; Enrique Manalo, foreign minister of the Philippines; Vivian Balakrishnan, foreign minister of Singapore; and Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, foreign minister of Somalia.

In addition, the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister participated in the meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) with the sister People’s Republic of China, informed the Central American country.
