In Nicaragua, a meeting took place with the participation of General Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, along with delegations from Cuba, Venezuela, and Bolivia.
“We are here welcoming the delegations participating in these security meetings with the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, General Nikolai Patrushev, who arrived last night with an important delegation and was received by the delegations participating in the meeting from our sister countries, Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, and our delegation from Nicaragua,” highlighted Nicaragua’s Vice President, Rosario Murillo.
Promotion of peace worldwide
Murillo emphasized that “Comrade Nikolai Patrushev has arrived with a large delegation, highlighting members of the official delegation, Comrade Aleksandr Venediktov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council; the Deputy Head of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the advisor to the Secretary of the Council, the representative of the Office of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Comrade Alexander Khokhólikov, who is the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Nicaragua, and the translator companions.”
Likewise, Murillo stated that this important meeting aims to address “strategies” to promote peace worldwide.
In this context, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council highlighted the importance of uniting efforts among sovereign states to jointly combat a new wave of colonialism, referring to the foreign policy of coercive measures used by the West.

Patrushev pointed out that the strategic objective is to establish a multilateral cooperation mechanism “that allows our countries not only to plan but also to implement measures to strengthen the sovereignty of Latin America,” elevate its status on the international stage, and protect itself from Western restrictions.

Furthermore, the Russian secretary recalled that the United States employs aggressive methods to overthrow non-aligned governments, exert political pressure, and exercise economic control over states seeking independence and autonomy.
