Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan accused the United States of sponsoring the Israeli Army’s armed aggression against Gaza, and denounced the thousands of murders of Palestinian civilians, including children.
The representative of Turkey’s diplomacy warned that “the region is mired in indignation…”, and that the United States “is putting the entire world in a difficult situation. “He is also damaging his own image because he is seen as a sponsor of Israel’s crimes.”

The statements issued by the Turkish minister were made in the context of the visit of the United States Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, in Ankara, Turkey. According to local news media, during the talks, Fidan and his delegation openly denounced the numerous deaths of civilians, including children, in the Gaza Strip.
Likewise, he highlighted the damage inflicted on the infrastructure of the Palestinian enclave and the crimes against humanity perpetrated by Israel. In that sense, the Hurriyet media outlet assured that Fidan highlighted “that all the peoples of the world, especially the nations of the region, from Paris to London and Washington, have rejected the mass massacre.”

In addition to the statements from the Turkish side, Turkish news networks emphasized the subtle reception of the American representatives during the event, particularly the absence of senior Turkish officials at the talks.

Blinken’s stay in Turkey took place after a tour of the region that included visits to «Tel Aviv» and the West Bank, where he met with the president of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas.
