Downed trees and power lines were reported in other parts of the state, which, according to the mayor, is the fourth time a tornado has hit the city in as many years.

The National Weather Service (NWS) reported that the tornado touched down Thursday, and that the risk of outflow will diminish over the next few days.

More than 50 million people in the southern and southeastern regions of the U.S. are left under severe weather warnings, according to the NWS.
