Delegation of the Communist Party of China strengthens friendship and cooperation with Nicaragua.
Chinese delegation meets with representatives of Nicaragua to reach agreements in different areas of common interest.
Zhan Wenwang, vice president of the Permanent Committee of the Commission of the Communist Party of China, together with a delegation, held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Nicaragua, Denis Moncada, and the advisor for the Promotion of Investments, Trade and International Cooperation, Laureano Ortega Murillo.
“Zhang Wenwang and his delegation have a series of working meetings in Nicaragua that seek to strengthen the ties of friendship and economic cooperation between the government of Nicaragua and the government of the People’s Republic of China, as well as between the Communist Party of China and the Sandinista National Liberation Front and between both peoples,” local media reported.
In this context , the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Nicaragua, Chen Xi, was present at the first meeting.
China and Nicaragua sign important agreements
Zhang Wenwang, who is also governor of the People’s Government of Chuxiong Prefecture, located in Yunnan Province, signed a twinning agreement with the Creative City of Grenada, represented by Nicaraguan mayor Rosario Caldera.
“We convene today to reaffirm the vocation of peaceful coexistence and solidarity of the people and government of the People’s Republic of China, represented by the authorities of the Central Government of the People’s Republic of China, of the sister city of Chuxiong, in the province of Yunnan, to «We give you the most affectionate and fraternal welcome to our beautiful city of Granada,” said Caldera.

In this sense, it is expected that, during the meetings, a memorandum of understanding on educational cooperation between Chuxiong University and the National Council of Universities will also be signed.

Likewise, “a cooperation agreement linked to mining energy development will be signed”, which focuses on various areas, such as “the remediation of contaminated soils, mining and the ecological environment, solid waste management and the reduction of environmental pollutants,” according to Nicaraguan news media.
