Through his Twitter user account, Elon Musk, the owner of the Twitter platform, has named Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter.
Yaccarino will focus on commercial operations, while Musk focuses on product design and new technologies within the Twitter platform, Musk said.
Musk served as CEO of Twitter as soon as he took over the platform, after firing Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and other top executives.

The entrepreneur had said early on that he had planned for his tenure as CEO to be temporary, and then looked for someone to take over as CEO of Twitter.
The new CEO is a former executive and head of advertising at NBCUniversal, and according to the company, Yaccarino would leave her position as head of advertising at the news network.
