Nicaragua in support of Russia declared March 24 as National Solidarity Mourning

Nicaragua carried out several acts in solidarity with Russia, after the terrorist attack occurred in the concert hall of the Crocus City Hall building, in Moscow, where 137 people were murdered.

The government of President Daniel Ortega expressed solidarity with his counterpart Vladimir Putin, declaring March 24 as “National Solidarity Mourning,” for which the Nicaraguan flag flew at half-mast.

Among the events of Solidarity Union with Russia, the Nicaraguan Army paid tribute to the victims of the attack, in addition to placing wreaths at the monument of the Marshal Georgy Konstantinovich Zhúkov Training Complex.

During this event, the Russian Military Mission in Managua was present, as well as members of the Army General Staff and other special units.

Nicaragua repudiates terrorist act in Russia

For its part, the National Police also held an event in solidarity with the victims of the terrorist attack in Moscow.

The First Commissioner, Francisco Diaz, General Director of the National Police, strongly condemned this terrorist act, where innocent people were murdered.

“We reject and repudiate this terrorist act that took the lives of more than 130 people, including children, women, and left hundreds injured,” said the police chief.

Through an official statement, Nicaragua condemned this terrorist attack, and expressed its invariable fraternal affection and solidarity with the sister Russian Federation.
