The inauguration ceremony of President-elect Vladimir Putin took place in the Kremlin Palace
Different member countries of the European Union attended the inauguration ceremony of the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
Vladimir Putin takes office as president of Russia for the next six-year term. The ceremony took place in the Kremlin Palace, attended by representatives of different countries.
Putin, during the inauguration ceremony, before the Constitution of his country, took the oath saying that, “in the exercise of the powers of President of the Russian Federation, I swear to respect and protect the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, fulfill and defend the Constitution of the Russian Federation, protect the sovereignty and independence, security and integrity of the State, faithfully serve the people.”
The swearing-in took place in the presence of the Russian people, members of the Federation Council, members of the State Duma and judges of the Russian Constitutional Court.
Putin: Together We Win!
Following the inauguration ceremony, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the nation in a speech in which he stressed that, “the interests and security of the citizens of Russia will be my first priority.”
Likewise, the president said he was sure that Russia “will go through a difficult and decisive period with dignity» and will become “even stronger.”
Therefore, “I will do everything necessary, everything I can, to justify your trust in me, using the powers granted to me as Head of State by the Constitution,” the Russian president stressed.
President Putin stressed that unity is essential to successfully achieve the objectives proposed by his government.
“I would like to emphasize that the success of this effort depends above all on our unity, integrity and our desire to serve our Homeland, protect it and work to the best of our ability.”

The investiture ceremony for the next six-year term of President Vladimir Putin was also attended by member nations of the European Union such as France, Hungary and Slovakia.
