The President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, during his visit to Nicaragua and in the framework of his tour of Latin America, stressed that the new world order is being formed in favor of the resistance of the peoples and against the imperialist interests.
During his meeting in Managua with the leader of the Sandinista Revolution, President Daniel Ortega, the Iranian president remarked that, for 44 years, in the Republic of Iran, it has always been the popular vote that has decided the election of the authorities in all organs of government.
The West lies about democracy and human rights
President Raisi said that, contrary to this, the West and the United States «lie about their claims to democracy and human rights».
«Those in the West and in the United States who claim to be democratic and defend democracy, act backwards, and do not respect countries and governments that are always elected with the popular vote of their peoples,» he said.
In this sense, he indicated that there have been signs of human rights violations in different parts of the world, perpetrated by the Americans and by world imperialism.
«The United States wanted to paralyze our people through threats and sanctions, but our people did not freeze in their path,» Raisi said.
In this regard, he indicated that Iran turned threats and sanctions into opportunities; and through those opportunities it made great strides in different areas, despite the sanctions of the enemy.
«That shows that, if a people has its firm will, in no way can the diabolical and imperialist powers stop it,» he reaffirmed.

In addition, he assured that the great people of Iran have known very well «the conspiracies, tricks and plans of the imperialist enemies», however «resisted against all their conspiracies and resisted during the eight years of the imposed war».

The Iranian head of state said that his people are honored to be the one who «has resisted and fought against terrorism» while denouncing that the «Americans and imperialists formed the terrorist group, Daesh».
The Iranian leader explained that «the hero of the fight against terrorism, was the general martyr, Qasem Soleimani, who was killed by the Americans», and so the United States «has earned the hatred of the peoples».
