Recognition of the triumph of the Sandinista Popular Revolution in Nicaragua, achieved on July 19, 1979, extends throughout the world. In the context of the 44th anniversary of liberation from one of the bloodiest dictatorships in Latin America, the Somocista tyranny; Russia, China and Iran together with other nations congratulate the Nicaraguans.
In his letter with warm congratulations to the leader of the Sandinista Revolution and President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega; the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, stressed that «Russian-Nicaraguan relations are based on good traditions of friendship and mutual respect. Moscow and Managua develop fruitful cooperation in various areas and engage in constructive interaction on current issues on the international agenda».
Putin emphasized that he is convinced that the further consolidation of the strategic partnership «responds to the interests of the peoples of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Nicaragua». He also said: I wish you (President Daniel Ortega), dear friend, good health and success, and all the citizens of Nicaragua well-being and prosperity.
China highlights defense of FSLN sovereignty
In the same context, Chinese President Xi Jinping, in his letter to the Nicaraguan president and secretary general of the Sandinista National Liberation Front, stressed that for a long time, the FSLN, uniting and leading the Nicaraguan people to firmly defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country, with perseverance on the path of development adjusted to its own national conditions, «it has continuously reaped new successes of socio-economic development and has won the broad support of the people».
The leader of the Asian giant extended his warm congratulations both to the Nicaraguan government and «to the Nicaraguan people and to all FSLN members».
Xi took the opportunity to highlight the trend of rapid development in bilateral relations between China and Nicaragua. «In the new era I am ready to work with you to promote the constant development of relations between both parties and countries, in order to better benefit our two peoples,» the Chinese leader said.
The International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, also expressed through a letter its recognition at the age of 44 after the triumph of the Sandinista Popular Revolution, «The FSLN has always been dedicated to propelling Nicaragua’s democratization process, promoting economic development and the well-being of the people,» especially since it returned to government in 2007, he said.
From different parts of the hemisphere the Sandinista Revolution is admired
From the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, President of State Affairs Kim Jong Un also extended his congratulations to President Ortega, «to the government and people of Nicaragua».
The President of the Islamic Republic, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisí, joined the greetings of the 44th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista People’s Revolution, for the «heroic, resistant and revolutionary people of Nicaragua».
Raisí, who recently visited Nicaragua as part of his tour of Latin America, stressed that the common path traveled by both nations, «in defense of their fundamental rights during the last four decades, is a valuable experience that can be used to further expand the relationship and increase bilateral cooperation».
Communist Party of Ireland extends recognition to the Revolution in Nicaragua
The Communist Party of Ireland, under the same celebration, detailed that the Sandinista victory of July 19, 1979 continues to inspire people around the world.
Its celebrations take place in a context of weakening US imperialist hegemony and growing multipolarity. The imposition of unilateral coercive measures against Nicaragua, and other States, is an attempt to punish those who seek an independent and sovereign development path. It is the Monroe Doctrine applied to the 21st Century», detailed the pronouncement of the Irish political organization.
He also expressed his solidarity with Nicaragua, assuring that it is boosting the achievements of its revolution and remains firm in its opposition to all the attacks launched against the Sandinista Revolution.
Latin America Celebrates the Victory of the Sandinista Popular Revolution
From Havana, Cuba, the president, Miguel Díaz-Canel; along with the historic leader of the Cuban revolution, Raúl Castro, he sent his recognition to the Nicaraguan president, Daniel Ortega; and the vice president, Rosario Murillo, at the head of the Nicaraguan revolutionary process, which marked «a historic milestone in Nicaragua’s struggle for sovereignty, justice and democracy».

Honor and glory to the martyrs of that heroic deed, and our infinite embrace to the brave Nicaraguan people, its Vice-President Rosario and its President Daniel Ortega.
Heads of International Relations of Left Parties, Popular and Social Movements of the Republic of Argentina joined in welcoming «fraternally the 44th anniversary of the Sandinista Popular Revolution».
