Ortega supports Maduro’s triumph in Venezuela.

Nicaragua’s president, Daniel Ortega, welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of Venezuela that ratified the re-election of Nicolas Maduro as president of the South American country.

“On a day of victory in Venezuela, because today the victory of the people of Bolivar, the people of Chávez, of the people of Nicolas Maduro, have been confirmed. Congratulations, dear brothers”, Ortega said.

Regarding this, the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ of Venezuela issued a sentence validating the re-election of Nicolás Maduro as president of the country, following the presidential elections held on July 28.

In an unquestionable way the perished and valid electoral material, this Chamber, the results of the Presidential Election of July 28, 2024, issued by the National Electoral Council, where the citizen Nicolas Maduro Moros was elected as President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, for the constitutional period 2025-2031, as decided, said Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez, president of the TSJ.

The Supreme Court of Justice, after ruling, called on the National Electoral Council to disclose the results of the elections, in accordance with Venezuelan laws.
