Nicaragua reaffirms support for the Palestinian cause
The Nicaraguan diplomatic official congratulated Cuba, Indonesia, Malaysia and Namibia for their re-election, highlighting that “Nicaragua is honored and proud to continue being a member of this Bureau.”
Hermida reaffirmed the support of the Nicaraguan State for Palestine’s proposals to be a full member of the United Nations, «for a ceasefire, and support and financing for the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees.»
In addition, it was specified that the ambassador of Palestine, Riyad Mansour, “congratulated the elected members of the Bureau, expressing his gratitude to the Committee as a whole for the efforts and work in the realization of their inalienable rights, including the right to self-determination, independence and the right of return of refugees.”
In that sense, the information published in the local media of the Latin American nation detailed that Mansour also emphasized «that his delegation will continue to work closely with the Bureau to achieve this goal.»
