The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hosein Amir Abdolahian, accused the United States of acting with “hypocrisy” regarding the grave situation in Gaza by promoting attacks in Rafah, where more than 1.5 million Palestinian refugees are located.
“Americans must stop being hypocritical and stop talking about a ceasefire while encouraging the Zionist regime to attack Rafah, Abdolahian denounced during a cabinet session.”
These statements refer to the claims of US authorities about a plan to achieve a truce in the Gaza Strip in exchange for the release of Israeli hostages by the Hamas resistance movement.
He also denounced ongoing war crimes and the critical situation in the northern and southern parts of Gaza, especially in Rafah, where approximately 1.5 million displaced people remain refugees after massive forced displacement.
According to Abdolahian, Israel continues to threaten because it has not achieved its goals in Gaza, focusing on “annihilating Hamas” and “freeing the hostages.”
The Iranian diplomat emphasized that Hamas has presented a comprehensive plan to stop the genocide in Gaza, lift the blockade, ensure a prisoner exchange agreement, and rebuild the war-ravaged territory.
Iran in favor of a solution to the Gaza crisis
Likewise, the Persian minister reiterated Iran’s “firm stance” in favor of a solution that improves regional security and protects the rights of citizens in Palestine.
