The highest government management index was obtained by Nicaragua, according to a study carried out by the international firm M&R Consultores, which evaluated 16 Latin American countries.

Nicaragua won first place with an approval of 8.90%, followed closely by El Salvador with 8.87% and Panama with 8.68%. According to M&R Consultores, the evaluation was carried out using a scale ranging from «WORST.» (6.00 to 6.79) to “VERY GOOD” (9.23 to 10.0), which shows a wide variety in the perception of government effectiveness.

Nicaragua positions itself on the direction of countries

Similarly, citizens expressed their views on the leadership of their countries, where Nicaragua positioned itself at the top with 83.2% of respondents in favor, followed by El Salvador 75.9% and Panama 74.0% who also showed optimism, while in Peru only 5.0% of the population indicated that the country was in the right direction.

On the other hand, the study showed that the willingness to emigrate increased in several Latin American countries: the Dominican Republic ranked first with 31.7% of its population willing to leave the country in search of better opportunities.

Subsequently, Ecuador followed with 28.5%, and El Salvador recorded 24.1%. Other countries with significant percentages included Honduras 23.9% and Bolivia 22.9%.

The consultants in charge of the research questioned various aspects of development, from the evaluation of rulers to the satisfaction of the needs of the population, allowing for a clearer picture of the situation at the regional level.
