Nicaraguan delegation in China strengthens bilateral exchanges.
A high delegation from Nicaragua visiting China held meetings with educational authorities from the University of Hubei, in Wuhan, to strengthen educational ties that promote research, teaching exchange and scholarship programs.
In that sense, Wang Shimin, vice president of Hubei University, highlighted that China and Nicaragua have raised the level of their diplomatic relations to a Strategic Partnership, in which they aspire to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with Nicaraguan universities, according to official local media. of the Latin American nation in a press release.

With the purpose of promoting joint research, teaching exchange and scholarship programs so that Nicaraguan students can pursue bachelor’s, engineering, master’s and doctoral studies at the University of Hubei, Wang Shimin stressed.
Nicaragua aims to strengthen educational quality
During the visit, at the University of Hubei, the diplomatic mission held meetings with authorities of the University of Hubei: Wang Shimi , vice president of the university center, directors of International Exchange and Cooperation, Regional and National Studies, as well as the deans of the faculties of Humanities, Social Sciences, Public Administration and Foreign Languages.
The Nicaraguan ambassador to Cambodia, Michael Campbell, highlighted the importance that the Government of Nicaragua assigns to quality education, as a fundamental right and key axis of social, economic and cultural development of the country, the press release detailed.
Hubei University, was founded in 1931 and is jointly administered by the Ministry of Education of China and the Hubei Provincial People’s Government, has more than 50 years working with Latin America and the Caribbean.

In that sense, Campbell thanked Hubei University for its interest in strengthening strategic ties of cooperation in the educational field and, at the same time, committed to promoting a rapprochement between the National Council of Universities (CNU) and Hubei University, respectively.

Finally, the authorities of the University of Hubei made a presentation in which they explained the history of Nicaragua and the development of diplomatic relations between Nicaragua and China, which seek to strengthen strategic cooperation in different areas.
