Nicaraguan government sends condolences over helicopter crash in Iran
The Nicaraguan government said in a statement that it was deeply dismayed by the helicopter crash where Iran’s president, Ebrahim Raisi, was travelling.
Deeply dismayed at the news of the accident suffered by the helicopter where our Brothers and Friends were travelling, President Ebrahim Raisi, his Foreign Minister, Brother Hossein Amirabdollahian, and his Commission, the Nicaraguan communiqué reads.
The Nicaraguan nation also stressed that it is very much aware of the communications of Iran’s Ayatollah and Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Nicaragua expressed its firm and sincere solidarity, sending its prayers both at the family and people to the people, and from the Nicaraguan State and Government.

“We trust in God that this dramatic and tragic situation will be resolved with the Rescue, Security and Life of the President, the Chancellor and his entire Commission,” Nicaragua’s message continues.

The Central American country also noted that it continues to pray and maintain permanent communication with Iran, reaffirming the historical ties between the two countries.
