Nicaragua expressed solidarity with Russia and condemned the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall

Nicaragua declared mourning in solidarity with Russia, after the terrorist attack carried out at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow, where according to preliminary information 133 people were killed.

The government of President Daniel Ortega, expressed solidarity with his counterpart Vladimir Putin, and declared March 24, 2024, as “National Solidarity Mourning.”

Through a statement, the Government of Nicaragua expressed its rejection and condemnation «of the terrible terrorist act, which in the Krasnogorsk Community of Moscow, took the lives of 133 Russian brothers, and accumulated hundreds of injuries in the Hospital Centers of Russia.”

“The Christian, Socialist and Solidarity People of our Blessed Nicaragua express their deep, sincere and fraternal Condolences to all that Brave People, to their President Vladimir Putin,” the letter states.

Nicaragua will hold events in solidarity with Russia

Consequently, the government of Nicaragua said that “Solidarity Union Events” will be held in all municipalities of the Central American nation, on Sunday, March 24.

“The National Flag will fly at half-mast throughout that day, March 24, of Solidarity Mourning with the Russian Federation,” said the statement signed by the president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega Saavedra.

In a previous statement, the Sandinista government had already expressed its solidarity with Russia, “with fraternal affection and invariable solidarity”; in addition to expressing its most energetic condemnation, rejection and repudiation «for these methods that have caused pain, suffering and loss to so many families of the human community throughout the world.»
